Study Confirms That Matters of the Heart Directly Influence The Health of Your Heart

'University of Utah researchers have shown that the ways in which you are supported, can actually have significant bearing on your overall cardiovascular health. The findings announced by Psychological Science reveal that when both partners perceive having mixed feelings about the support they get from each other, each partner’s levels of coronary artery calcification (CAC) tend to be particularly high.

“There is a large body of epidemiological research suggesting that our relationships are predictors of mortality rates, especially from cardiovascular disease,” explains Bert Uchino, psychological scientist of the University of Utah. “But most prior work has ignored the fact that many relationships are characterized by both positive and negative aspects -- in other words, ambivalence.”'

'The word cannabis stirs a lot of emotion in people today — some positive and plenty negative.

But whatever your beliefs are, one thing is for sure: There are definitely health benefits to these plants.

Despite all the legal issues and controversy surrounding cannabis, we decided to look at the heart health benefits of hemp seeds.

Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised.

Interested in what we found? Then let’s dive in.'

Diet soft drinks 'linked' to heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular deaths, doctors say

'People who regularly have two or more diet soft drinks a day could be up to 50 per cent more likely to die from heart disease, a new study has shown.

Artificially sweetened fizzy drinks, though marketed as a viable healthy alternative, were linked to a host of health problems including strokes and heart attacks.

Compared to those who never or rarely consume the drinks, regular users were 30 per cent more likely to suffer what was described as a "cardiovascular event".'

6 Steps to Heal Coronary Heart Disease Naturally

image

'Coronary heart disease is the #1 killer in the United States. Accounting for 1 in every 4 deaths, it takes the lives of 600,000 people every year!(1) According the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report(2), heart disease has been the leading cause of death since 1921. That tells me that we are doing something very wrong in the way we approach the treatment of heart disease and our health in general. There has to be a better way. Is there something more effective than the standard medical treatments?

This week, Wellness Achiever subscriber, Brian asked:

“What is the best way to remove plaque from the artery walls that accumulate through eating bad foods?”

This is a great question! Fortunately, there is a much better solution than the modern medical treatment for heart disease. For the answer, we have to go back to the early days of medicine. It really comes down to what Hippocrates, The Father of Medicine, said over 2,400 years ago:

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” ~Hippocrates'

Build Strong Bones and a Healthy Heart the Natural Way

skeleton 300x300 Build Strong Bones and a Healthy Heart the Natural Way

'If you are looking to build strong bones and a healthy heart, taking Fosamax and cardio drugs is not the place to start. Investigational journalism from ABC News has shown how Fosamax causes more bone problems than it solves.

At first Fosamax creates the illusion that it can build strong bones because it retards the breakdown of old bone, but this drug which is comprised of phosphonates that are used to clean soap scum, creates an imbalance of two important bone structure mechanisms: osteoblasts and osteoclasts.

This imbalance leads eventually to spontaneous bone fractures. This means that while you swallow Fosomax thinking you are building stong bones, in reality you are setting the stage for crippling disease.'

'Adding to the many benefits of nuts including reducing heart disease, researchers from Harvard Medical School have determined that increasing our intake of nuts decreases our risk of diabetes and pancreatic cancer.

The researchers followed 75,680 women from the Nurses' Health Study – started in 1976 and expanded in 1989. The researchers measured nut consumption among the subjects and updated it every two to four years.

Those who ate at least one ounce of nuts twice a week had a 35% lower incidence of pancreatic cancer and a 32% lower incidence of diabetes.'

Sugar Promotes Heart Disease and Cancer

'More than 1,660,290 new cancer cases are projected to be diagnosed in the US this year, and an estimated 580,350 Americans will die from the disease.1 Another 600,000 Americans die of heart disease each year.2 At present, heart disease is the leading cause of death among both sexes.

Despite massive technological advances over the past half-century, Western medicine is still at a loss for how to rein in the prevalence of these top two killers.

It’s become increasingly clear that many of the conventional strategies, from diagnosis to treatment, are riddled with flawed assumptions and approaches that, in many cases, do more harm than good.

What’s worse, virtually none of the conventional strategies actually address the root cause of the problem, a flawed diet high in sugars and processed foods.'

Daily Aspirin for Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention is Ineffective and Dangerous

'Some folks seem to get away with playing pharmaceutical roulette while more are damaged in one way or another. A few die. The first half of this article will attempt to explain what's wrong with the aspirin or half aspirin or baby aspirin as a blood thinner, or any prescription blood thinner as well. The second half will provide alternative natural options that are effective without side effects.

Thanks to the publicized campaigns to promote aspirin as a simple protection against heart attacks and strokes, there a many who take the false advice to their unhealthy detriment, which they will often not attribute to aspirin as a cause.'

The Heart Attack, High Blood Pressure, Salt Consumption Dogma is Bogus

image

'It seems the questionable causal culprit for high blood pressure (HBP) or hypertension, sodium chloride or table salt, is being slowly replaced. The new villain that needs to be curbed for lowering high blood pressure is high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which leads to obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular health issues.

The high sodium intake source of high blood pressure has been challenged by some for over a decade. The only type of salt recognized by almost all the medical establishment is processed table salt, which adds toxins while removing the essential trace minerals contained in unprocessed sea salt.

Even the high blood pressure leading to heat attack assumptions have been challenged. A NYC epidemiological study demonstrated people normal blood pressures in NYC having more heart attacks than people who had high blood pressures.'
